one year ago...

...I still looked like this:
Then we had a perfect tiny little baby...
...with big feet.
He's grown in to those feet now. It's amazing how fast the time flew. Everyone said that it would, but you don't really realize it till your little one is eating chocolate cake on his own...
... amazing the difference, no?

fifty-one weeks!

Hard to believe, this is Hudson's last week under a year old! He is such a cutie pie. We had fun playing with my sunglasses. He knew they were supposed to cover his eyes, but couldn't figure out how to keep them up!

Then we started to read our new book - thanks, Aunt Roo!
 Look at those baby blues!

sleepover!

So while Dave and I unloaded our kitchen (that we bought on Halloween) into our new apartment, Hudson had his first sleepover at Bryden's house! Actually it was a partial sleep over as He only stayed until 9:30, but he did really well. We went over for a bit of dinner, then the boys played together and then took a bath. So cute! It is fun to have a friend who is so close to Hudson's age!

They had so much fun playing in the bath! Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we spent 30 minutes unloading the car...
...and another hour and a half to get it all up 4 flights.
Hard work, but worth it! Also our contractor has been hard at work too - framing in the new washer/dryer closet.
the kitchen fit perfectly in our bedroom!

fifty weeks!

It's hard to believe that Hudson will be a year old in two weeks! My how the time flies! Thanks to Rebecca who made this *adorable* cowboy costume for Jordan last year - it fit Hudson like a glove. So much so that he didn't fit in the pants on Halloween proper (the next day).

The boy loves his squash, what can I say? Thanks to M+B for the pumpkin and squash props!

forty-nine weeks!

Look at Hudson go! Arms out for balance  head down, concentrating on where he is going - already a true New Yorker!
He started to run a little when he saw the sandbox at the park... particularly some communal toys left on the edge.
..a good bowl can be hours of fun...
 ...
 ....
... or at least fifteen minutes, which is equivalent to hours in toddler terms!
